- Saxophonist Keith Anderson and Full of Soul jumpstart the night with his energizing sounds and grooves. His band features Allen Cato on guitar, Kwinton Gray on piano, Chuck Smith on bass, and Mark Simmons on drums. Jisun Choi Quartet with Special Guest Hyewon Lee features mesmerizing pianist Jisun Choi presenting songs she coined as the Korean Song Book. Her band includes Hyewon Lee on vocals, Noel Johnston on guitar, and Ryan Hagler on bass.

- Into The Woods follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. As their individual adventures begin to overlap and their wishes are granted, the characters learn that “no one is alone.”

- The DBDT: Encore! Rising Excellence performance draws on the heritage and memories of Japanese and Polish choreographers who produce works with powerful athleticism and delicate gestures. Choreographer Takehiro Ueyama created Heroes to honor the dedication and preservation of citizens who played a crucial role in Japan’s recovery after World War II. Katarzyna Skarpetowska choreographed Snow Playground, an abstract work inspired by a peaceful image of swirling snow across a children’s playground.

- Orígenes/Origins tells the story of a teenager sent by her family to live with her father in the United States. Orígenes/Origins is a story of building a new home and identity in a new country while remembering your origins. Featuring masks, movement and original music by Peruvian composer Fabricio Cavero, Orígenes/Origins is performed in Spanish with English supertitles.

- Dallas Festival of the Arts, formally known as Turtle Creek Spring Arts Festival, is back for it’s annual event in Reverchon Park, a 43-acre community park. Situated in the heart of Dallas, Turtle Creek borders the Downtown arts district as well as Highland Park, and the Oaklawn/ Cedar Springs neighborhoods. The Dallas Festival of the Arts is a two-day fine art outdoor festival, located in one of the most prestigious areas of Dallas, featuring approximately 100 painters, photographers, sculptors, metalwork, glass artists, jewelers, and, more! The Festival will also offer artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, festival foods, and, beverages.
The Dallas Festival of the Arts is organized by the AFFPS, LLC and a board of experts in various artistic disciplines, which has a long history of building some of the most notable events in the south with several holding spots in the TOP 100 in the nation. The festival will uphold the highest standards supporting the arts and offer participating artists the environment to nurture an appreciation for their skills.

- Don’t miss the annual Changing Perspectives Block Party on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 6:30-11:00 pm with a rain date on April 15, 2023. Watch Close-Act Theatre’s Birdmen come to life; they are large dinosaur-like performers that extend 23 feet high and 19 feet long with a wingspan of 13 feet. This free family-friendly event will feature some of the best artists that Dallas has to offer–musicians, dancers, a community mural and more! The event will take place on and surrounding Sammons Park in front of the Winspear Opera House, 2403 Flora Street. Close-Act Theatre is an international street theatre company that was founded in 1991 in the Netherlands. The group originates from collaboration of designers, actors, dancers, choreographers, and musicians, all the disciplines are combined.
